History
Hello.
Once upon a time (4 years ago), I had a blog. Two years ago, sadly, it was laid to rest. For many reasons. My blog was very popular. Not in the sense you think. It was used in a court case to validate many negative things that were said about me. It worked on a few stupid and ignorant people. Everyone else laughed.
I was surprised at how much I missed blogging, and also how little. However, after two long years, I wanted to come back. Hopefully, I will not regret it.
I made many friends through blogging. Some stuck by me. Many others scattered. I’m not bitter. In fact, I hope that I get the chance to thank those people some day for everything they taught me. Yes, it was a learning experience. You would be amazed at how much you learn about human nature during a personal crisis. I definitely learned who my friends are, and more importantly, the identity of my enemies. To those people, karma is a motherfucker. I hope I have a front row seat when you pay your dues.
No one’s blog is a complete view of a person, and mine certainly wasn’t and never will be. Even though I discussed many personal and intimate details of my life on my blog, I am a very private person. You see what I allow you to see. I am not dishonest or deceptive, but I do not care to bare my soul to strangers on the internet. At least not today.
Blogging was therapeutic for me, and writing is my zen. I am surprised at how often sarcasm is misinterpreted, misunderstood or taken too literally. Who are you people and where did you leave your sense of humor? The people who know me personally will tell you that I’m not a monster. I’m actually a nice person, in person. I just used person 3 times. Now that’s 4.
I am not hiding, and I am not anonymous. If you know who I am, I will not deny it. I just plan to be more aware now, and in the future, of the bad people who like to twist the truth. The truth does not always set you free. It can imprison you and wreak havoc to the very core of your being, until you wonder what your purpose is here.
If you remember me, please say hello. I’d love to try to catch up with everyone. While I’m discovering so many new bloggers, I would be very excited to hear from bloggers from the past.
My purpose is to continue to be who I am, and to overcome any guilt that I’m not who everyone else wants me to be. I believe Popeye said it best, “I yam who I yam and that’s all that I yam.” Yes, sweet potatoes ARE pretty damn tasty. And in the words of the Sweet Potato Queens, “Be particular.”
