Netfux

One of my boyfriends, Netflix, is really pissing me off lately. Several years ago when we first hooked up, he was there for me, every day. If I mailed a movie back, I received a notification email the next day and would get a new movie in a few more days. Lately, it seems like it takes a week for them to mail me a movie. I think he is seeing someone else. They are always so loyal in the beginning of the relationship, have you ever noticed?

However, the other day, I received a movie the day after they sent me an e-mail notifying me it was being shipped. The next morning, I had an email from “Customer Service” asking me if I had received my movie, claiming that they are randomly requesting feedback from customers to improve their service. The questionnaire was regarding the one movie I had received in one day, with no space to discuss the movies it takes 10 days to receive. Coincidence? I think not.

I had a chat with a friend of mine who watches more movies than I do, and he told me that he is having the same problem. I keep seeing these advertisements for Blockbuster stating that you can return the movie to the store OR mail it back, but I’m all about the convenience and that is why I joined Netflix in the first place.

I received an email on Wednesday notifying me that my movies were being mailed, so I thought great, it’s going to be a rainy weekend, I’ll be able to watch a few movies while stuck at home on Saturday. Friday comes, no movies. The mail comes today, NO MOVIES! Now, that’s just ridiculous.

It’s time for movies to be available for viewing online. I don’t want to download them from Itunes, I just want to watch them.

Netflix, you are breaking my heart. Please come back to me.
