Vino

While shopping for various gifts, wine and liquor for baking, I happened across a wine I’ve never seen before, which is a combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. It was Banfi Le Rime, and I took it to my family’s Christmas celebration, and it was actually quite good. I’m not a huge white wine fan, especially chardonnay, but I liked this wine. It’s inexpensive, and apparently the rest of the family liked it, too, because it disappeared in about 5 minutes.

I have been craving cheese fondue, and I think I’m going to make some for new year’s eve. I was able to finally find my favorite wine to go with fondue, fendant du valais, a swiss wine.

I also attempted to make biscotti, and I was surprised at how easy it is to make. Now, I just need some vin santo, and I can have it after the fondue.

I just finished Memoirs of a Geisha. I wanted to read the book before I saw the movie, and I loved the book, so I can’t wait to see the movie.

Why am I at work today? Nothing is going on, I’m thinking it’s getting close to time to GO.
